Sudan and Gabon Discuss Bilateral Relations

 Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Ibrahim Jabir, was received in Libreville, the capital of Gabon, by the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba, and handed him a written message from the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, dealing with the bilateral relations and the political situation in Sudan.

General Ibrahim Jabir said in a press statement that he handed the President of Gabon a written message from the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, regarding bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in the political situation in Sudan.

He praised the support that Gabon has been providing to Sudan at the regional and international forums.

The member of the Sovereignty Council said that he discussed with President Ali Bongo Ondimba a number of African problems and the need for find African solutions to them, the importance of laying down positive bases for dealing with current issues in the region for enhancing peace and stability.

He added that the meeting dealt with ways to strengthen the economic cooperation between Sudan and Gabon in all fields.
