Sovereignty Council Vice-President inspects development projects in Nyala

 - Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, accompanied by Wali (governor) of South Darfur State Hamed El-Tijani Hanoun, inspected Tuesday progress of work in the Women and Children Hospital project in Nyala, which is nearing completion.

The hospital, with a capacity of more than 250 beds, is the biggest hospital in the Darfur region, and provides treatment services to citizens of the state and other western states, as well as to neighboring countries.

 Implementation work in the hospital, which comprises three departments: children, women and obstetrics, and has begun since 2009, and work has stalled due to funding, and the state government has undertaken its funding through its own resources to complete it.

Daglo also inspected El Sereif Bridge Project, appreciating the efforts of the South Darfur State government in establishing infrastructure.
