Kuwait welcomes the political agreement between the parties to the transitional phase in Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s welcomed  the agreement reached between the parties of the transitional phase in the sisterly Republic of Sudan on the tasks of the next phase, restoring the transitional institutions, holding elections on time, and forming a government of competencies to move forward with the success of the goals of the transitional process in a manner that preserves the security, stability and gains of Sudan. political

The ministry affirmed the State of Kuwait's continued support for everything that would maintain security and stability and achieve the interests of the sisterly Republic of Sudan.

The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok signed  Sunday, a political agreement that includes the release of all political detainees and the restoration of Hamdok to his position.

The agreement stipulated work to build a unified army, and that "the Sovereignty Council shall be the supervisor of the transitional period, without direct interference in the executive work."
