The Amir of the State of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received at the Amiri Diwan here on Sunday First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, in the presence of Acting Foreign Minister Omer Gamar-Eddin and Director of the General Intelligence Service Gen. Jamal Abdel-Majeed.
The meeting discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways and means of boosting them further in all fields besides developments in Sudan and at the area in general.
The meeting also tackled the regional and international developments, especially the situations on the Sudanese-Ethiopian borders.
The First Vice President of TSC affirmed the strong relations linking the Sudan and the State of Qatar, pointing out to importance of joint coordination between the two countries at the regional and international forums on all issues of mutual concern.
Daglo briefed the Amir of the State of Qatar on the progress of implementation of the Sudanese peace agreement, commending in this connection the efforts of the State of Qatar for realizing peace in Sudan, especially in Darfur.
He also expressed thanks to the Amir of the State of Qatar for the generous support extended by his country to floods-affected people in Sudan besides its efforts for assisting Sudan to ward off Corona pandemic.
