The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel- Fattah Al-Burhan, has received a phone call from the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto, in which he congratulated him on the 67th. Anniversary of Sudan's glorious Independence, and the New Year.
The phone call dealt with the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways and means to support and enhance them further besides issues of mutual concern.
The President of the Sovereignty Council expressed his thanks and appreciation for the stances of Kenya in support of Sudan, expressing hope that the bilateral relations will witness further growth and development.
For his part, the Kenyan President praised the level of the relations between the two countries, describing them as "distinguished" in the various fields, praising Sudan's active role in supporting regional issues.
He suggested holding a summit of the IGAD countries to discuss issues of concern to the IGAD member states and to address the challenges ahead.
President Ruto extended an invitation to Al-Burhan to visit Kenya.
