Al-Burhan briefed on outcome of Mediation with Peace Parties

The Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt-General, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan was briefed on the outcome of the consultations carried out by the Southern Mediation with the parties to the peaceful process on the implementation of Juba Agreement for Sudan Peace.

This came when Al-Burhan met, Thursday, at the Republican Palace, the mediation delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Southern Mediation Committee, Dhio Mattuk who said in press statements that the delegation, upon arrival, engaged in comprehensive consultations with the parties to the peaceful process with regard to the implementation of the peace agreement, pointing out that a full consensus was achieved on the establishment of the mechanisms for  the implementation of the agreement and the elements represented in it.

 “ The parties reached an agreement on the candidates to the National Committee Assigned to Follow up the implementation of the agreement, besides the Committees of the different tracks in Darfur, the Two Areas and South Kordofan, in addition to the Center, North and the east tracks” Mattuk explained.

He said he briefed Al-Burhan on the Security Arrangements File which enjoys  sponsorship of the Republic of South Sudan and given top priority by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Mattuk said the meeting, also reviewed the File of Power sharing, indicating that the mediation exerting considerable efforts to reach consensus , in this connection
